the ongoing switch of the weirdness

the other has a switch that shifts back and forth:

• between "I get it" and "now I don't"
• it thwarts having a clean outline

as once we think we have learned the other, it has either:

• tweaked or switched or shifted itself into something else
  • as merely looking at an other "bends" it ever so slightly
• allowed something else to become the other
• while the old other becomes part of the same

an other can stay an other forever (willingly or without effort)

looms of ongoing weirdness include: 

• some kinds of leadership
• the weather
• the stock market
• most men and women

we have no foresight of what comes next

but

we can speak of long-term trends
